Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Company (BMKG) reported an earthquake close to Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara. The 5.3 magnitude earthquake was situated at a depth of 612 kilometers.
An earthquake was detected in Labuan Bajo at 18.44 WIB. BMKG acknowledged that there was no potential for a tsunami from the earthquake.
The epicenter was situated at 5.54 South Latitude and 120.29 East Longitude, which is about 114 km to the northeast of Labuan Bajo.
The BMKG acknowledged that the information on the earthquake close to Labuan Bajo was nonetheless unstable and will change as the information was full.
